About

Hi, I’m Ion Rusu

  • Full-stack developer
  • Web architect
  • Founder of Bitnoda

I started Bitnoda on a simple conviction: good ideas deserve to become real products. For more than 5 years I have been building software end to end — from architecture and data to interface and deployment.

No middlemen here. You talk directly to the engineer who builds your product.

From curiosity to Bitnoda

Eight chapters tied together by one thread: turning ideas into products that work. Every project below taught me something I now use in your product.

  1. 000Beginnings

    The curiosity that never stopped

It all started with one question: how does an idea end up running on someone else’s screen? I started building to find out — and never stopped.

  2. 0012021–2025

    University and the first e-voluntar

Four years at the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași. My bachelor’s thesis was the first version of the e-voluntar platform — an idea I kept pushing forward, all the way to a product.

  3. 010Commerce

    Online stores with real payments

Online stores for clients: themes built from scratch, integrations and real card payments — where every checkout step counts.

    • Biotiful Lifecustom Shopify theme (Liquid), Netopia payments, Judge.me and Omnisend

  4. 011Platforms

Products with roles, flows and data

Marketplaces, dashboards, multi-user workflows: projects where the architecture matters more than any button.

    • DriverHubcar-rental marketplace: Nuxt 3, Firebase, Supabase, MinIO, Docker + Traefik
    • Acord Travelinteractive SVG map of job offers in the USA, GSAP dashboard, AWS ECR + Docker Swarm deploys

  5. 100Infrastructure & AI

    Services, queues and AI search

An HR/recruiting platform with AI search, under NDA: async APIs, messaging between services, AI-powered search and GitOps deploys on Kubernetes, with full monitoring.

  6. 101Web 3D

    Websites you want to explore

When a product has to be felt, not just read: 3D models that come apart on scroll, configurators and animations that tell a story — without sacrificing speed.

    • SpaceBox3D landing page and configurator for modular houses, pure three.js, a Blender model that “explodes” on scroll
    • phoenixmdcharity website for MAD-Aid, 3D hero with Vue + TresJS and GSAP

  7. 110Labs

    Desktop tools written in Rust

What I can’t find ready-made, I build. Fast, offline desktop apps that run on your own hardware — my lab for what comes next.

    • VoxTyperoffline speech-to-text with Whisper on the GPU, a tray app
    • MyInvoicedesktop invoicing app: Rust + Dioxus, SQLite

  8. 111Today

Bitnoda and a network of collaborators

Everything I have learned, in a single studio. I design the architecture, write code and coordinate a network of developers I work with — and you have a single point of contact: the engineer who builds.

A network, not a list

Technologies matter in how they connect. Hover over a node or pick one from the list to see where I used it and what it works with. No progress bars, no percentages.

11110 nodes

30 technologies, 6 areas, 21 connections

Pick a technology from the list or hover over a node: see where I used it and what it connects to.

Four rules I don’t negotiate

Not marketing promises — just how every project runs, from the first call to well after launch.

  1. 00

    Architecture before code

Before the first line of code, I map out the system: data, flows, integrations, what has to scale and what doesn’t. Expensive decisions are made on paper, not in production.

  2. 01

Performance and SEO from day one

Speed and indexing are not a finishing touch. Pre-rendered pages, performance budgets, code that loads only when it is needed — as with neostil.md and its 64 pre-rendered routes.

  3. 10

    Direct communication

You talk to the person who builds, not to a middleman. Questions get clear, direct answers — technical only when they need to be.

  4. 11

    Incremental delivery

Small, visible steps: you watch the product grow on a staging environment, try it early and can change direction without drama or last-minute surprises.
